Milan snatch a difficult victory from Sampdoria with ten players

Milan snatched a difficult victory from its host Sampdoria, with a score of 1-2, on Saturday evening, at the Luigi Ferraris stadium, as part of the sixth round of the Italian League. 

Milan Junior Messias scored in the 6th minute and Olivier Giroud from the penalty mark (67), while Philip Doricic scored the Sampdoria goal (57).

With this victory, Milan raised its score to 14 points in second place and shared the lead with Napoli, while Sampdoria’s balance froze at two points in eighteenth place.

Milan entered the match quickly and managed through Junior Messias to score the first goal in the meeting after 6 minutes, taking advantage of a quick rebound by Liao, to finally reach Messias on the right side and the latter hit the net.

Sampdoria, through Djuricic, almost scored the equalizer in the tenth minute, after the ball reached Durićic outside the penalty area, and he fired a missile shot at the crossbar.

In the 21st minute, Di Kitiliari doubled the score for Milan with a second goal, after a cross from Liao into the area, Charles headed into the net, but the referee canceled it after returning to the video technology because there was an offside case on striker Giroud at the beginning of the game. 

And Sampdoria got a corner kick in the 38th minute, executed inside the area to find Rincon, who turned it with a header that passed just outside the goal after Caputo failed to follow it into the net.

goalkeeper Odero starred and prevented the opportunity of a goal for Milan in the 41st minute, after a cross pass from Theo Hernandez, Jiro met it with a shot by Odero’s brilliance and kept it away from his goal.

The beginning of the second half witnessed the expulsion of Rafael Liao, the AC Milan winger after he raised his foot high and hit the head of the Sampdoria defender, and he received the second yellow and then the red card.

In the 57th minute, Sampdoria managed to score the equalizer through Djuricic, who took advantage of an excellent cross from Ogello from the left, Philip met it from the near post with a perfect header into the net.

Milan was close to scoring the second goal in the 62nd minute, after the ball passed to Theo Hernandez, the back of Milan, who fired a shot that was sent away by the goalkeeper to the corner, which was carried out inside the area, and Giro turned it with a header that passed next to the post, but the referee returned to the video technology and awarded a penalty kick to the Rossoneri for the presence of a hand touch on Villar. 

Olivier Giroud successfully executed the penalty kick to add Milan’s second goal in the 67th minute.

Sampdoria had a triple opportunity in the 86th minute, after Gabbiadini’s shot was pushed away by goalkeeper Mainan with his fingertips, then reached Ogello on the left side and hit Milan’s right post.

The ball rebounded from the post and returned to Gabyadini, who shot towards the goal, but Mainan saved it again.
