FIFA is close to excluding one of the competing teams in the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

According to the British newspaper, ” Daily Mail “, there is new evidence submitted to the Appeal Committee of the International Football Association, regarding the accusation of the Ecuadorean national team of falsifying the nationality of its player Peron Castro.

The International Football Association obtained audio recordings of Castro’s interview with Ecuadorean federation officials several years ago.

The newspaper pointed out that the audio recording carries the player’s recognition that he was born in Colombia, and despite that, the Ecuadorean Federation decided to participate in the player’s national team.

She added that an explicit accusation would be brought against the Ecuadorean Federation, for obtaining forged passports and a clear cover-up of the reality of the player’s nationality, as well as the multiplicity of identities for him.

The newspaper pointed out that after confirming the exclusion of Ecuador from the World Cup, the second party will be changed in the opening match of the tournament, to be the England team against Qatar.
