Carlos Queiroz became the head coach of the Qatar national team

Portuguese coach Carlos Queiroz led the Qatar national team, according to the website of the country’s football association.

The 69-year-old Queiroz is under contract until the 2026 World Cup, which will be held in America, Canada, and Mexico.

Queiroz replaced Spanish specialist Felix Sanchez Bas, who left the post after failing at the 2022 World Cup at home. Queiroz led the Iranian national team at a tournament in Qatar and also left the team after the team did not leave the group.
