Today, November 23, the match of the 1st round of the group stage of the World Cup in Qatar between the national teams of Germany and Japan took place. The meeting took place at the Khalifa International Stadium in Doha. The starting whistle of the chief referee of the match, Ivan Barton, sounded at 13:00 GMT.

Thanks to this, the Bundesteam were able to take the lead in the 33rd minute, when midfielder Ilkay Gundogan converted an 11-meter kick, which was awarded for a foul in the penalty area on David Raum.
For a long time, the meeting was dictated by Germany, but in the 75th minute, Japan managed to level the score thanks to a goal from Ritsu Doan, who closed the ball into an empty net. Eight minutes later, the Japanese took the lead, when Takuma Asano, who broke through the flank, hit the near corner under the crossbar, Manuel Neuer could not save his team.
In the remaining minutes, Germany tried to level the score, but Japan confidently repulsed the attacks. The meeting ended with the victory of Japan with a score of 2: 1.
