Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp has responded strongly to former German international Dittmer Hamann, in which he criticized the performance of the “Reds” this season.
Liverpool’s recent defeat against Arsenal significantly weakened the chances of the “Reds” in the competition for the English Premier League title, and the team’s mediocre levels opened the door to criticism.
In comments reported by Sport Bild magazine, Hamann, the former Reds star, said that Jurgen Klopp should be concerned about his position as coach of the Liverpool team, adding: “At some point, we will have a discussion about the coach, and I am not sure how far we are from that.”
Jurgen Klopp’s response was not delayed, as the German coach said with a kind of biting irony, in comments reported by the British newspaper “Daily Mail”, “Diddy Hamann? Oh great, great source, highly respected everywhere.”
Klopp added:
It is noteworthy that Liverpool will play a strong match today, Wednesday, against Glasgow Rangers, in the group stage of the Champions League.
The Reds are second in the group with 6 points, behind Napoli.
