Athletic forward Inaki Williams will miss the Spanish La Liga game for the first time since 2016.
He was not included in his team’s squad for the 20th-round away game against Celta Vigo due to a muscle injury. The last time he missed the match of the team from Bilbao in the national championship was on April 7, 2016 – then the Basques met with Malaga.
Recall that Inaki Williams spent his entire career at Athletic. He has 80 goals and 52 assists in 362 matches for this club. His contract runs until June 30, 2028, and the transfer fee is estimated at € 25 million.
Inaki’s brother, 20-year-old Nico Williams, also plays for Athletic. The Basques are in eighth position in the Spanish league standings with 26 points from 18 matches.
