Al-Khulaifi: It is impossible to include Ronaldo, and this is Messi’s position

Date:

Nasser Al-Khelaifi, President of Paris Saint-Germain, spoke today, Thursday, about the future of Argentine star Lionel Messi, whose contract expires next summer, and the extent of his club’s interest in including Marcus Rashford from Manchester United.
Al-Khelaifi said, in statements to “Sky Sports”: “Messi is very happy, and this can be followed up with his national team.”

And he continued, “When a player is not happy, his level is not good with his country’s national team… He also had an amazing season with us, scoring and assisting many goals.”

He added, “What we agreed on is that we will sit after the end of the World Cup together… The two sides, Paris Saint-Germain and Messi, are very happy, and therefore we will talk after the World Cup.”

Rashford and Ronaldo

On Rashford, he said: “He is another amazing player, will he be available for free? To get Rashford for free, (something) all clubs will definitely run after him.”

And Al-Khulaifi continued: “We do not hide anything. We have previously spoken and expressed our interest (Brashford), but the time was not suitable for both sides .. Perhaps the time is better in the summer, why not?”

And he continued, “Today, if Rashford was a free player, we would talk to him directly, but we will not talk to him now, we will let him focus on the World Cup … and in January (January), if there is interest, we will talk to him.”

Regarding the Saint-Germain star and the French national team, Kylian Mbappe, he replied: “For me, he is a very prominent player, and it was important for him to continue and not leave for free…I trust him and his family, because we have created a special relationship with him…He is Parisian and French, and he is always proud to be in France.”.

And about Cristiano Ronaldo, Al-Khelaifi said: “He is a legend and a star. I admire him and love him as a player and a professional… He is an amazing player at the age of 37, and he is still doing amazing things. Every club wants to sign him.”

And he added, “But our problem is that his position is full of players … it will be impossible for us to sign him.”
