Following the results of the matches of the 6th round, the full list of participants in the playoffs of the 2022/23 season became known.
8 group winners went directly to the 1/8 finals of the tournament: Arsenal ( England), Betis (Spain), Fenerbahce (Turkey), Union (Belgium), Real Sociedad (Spain), Feyenoord “(Netherlands), “Freiburg” (Germany), “Ferencvaros” (Hungary).
8 teams advanced to the play-off round, finishing second in their groups: PSV (Netherlands), Roma (Italy), Rennes (France), Union (Germany), Manchester United (England), Midtjylland “(Denmark), “Nantes” (France), “Monaco” (France).
At this stage, they will play against the teams that finished third in the Champions League groups: Ajax (Netherlands), Bayer (Germany), Barcelona (Spain), Sporting CP (Portugal), Salzburg (Austria), Shakhtar (Ukraine), Sevilla (Spain), Juventus (Italy).
The draw for the playoffs will take place on November 7 (12:00 pm GMT). The games of this round will be held on February 16 and 23. The first matches will be held on the fields of teams from the Champions League.
The winners of the playoffs will advance to the 1/8 finals of the Europa League.
