The International Federation of Football Associations (FIFA) released their rankings for the world on Thursday morning, and Argentina’s national team topped them all.
The tango dancers’ team won the Qatar 2022 World Cup recently and increased its score to 1840.93 points, placing it ahead of the French team that finished second.
Argentina has held the top spot in the world rankings for the first time in six years.
On the other hand, as a result of its recent friendly defeat to Morocco, the Brazil national team dropped to third place. Meanwhile, the Belgium national team remained in fourth place, with England in fifth, the Netherlands national team in sixth, Croatia in seventh, Italy in eighth, Portugal in ninth, and Spain in tenth place.
The Senegal national team ranked second in Africa and 18th in the world, ahead of Tunisia (28) and then Algeria (34), while the Egyptian national team made a significant leap to occupy fifth place in Africa and 35th in the world. The Moroccan national team maintained its position as the first team in the Arab world and Africa.
While the Saudi national team fell five places to become 54th in the world and fifth in Asia and the Arab world, Japan maintained its lead at the level of the Asian continent and ranked 20th worldwide, ahead of Iran (24), South Korea (27), and Australia (29).
Iraq moved up to rank 67th, the Sultanate of Oman moved up to rank 73rd, and Lebanon moved up to rank 99th. Qatar’s national team dropped to 61st place in the world, while the United Arab Emirates moved up to rank 72nd.
Jordan’s (84), Bahrain’s (85), Syria’s (90), and Palestine’s (93) centers were all confirmed.
