The match of the 17th round of the English Premier League, in which Arsenal hosted West Ham at the Emirates Stadium, has ended.
The final whistle of the chief arbitrator Michael Oliver fixed the victory of the hosts with a score of 3:1.
In the fifth minute, the Gunners midfielder Bukayo Saka hit the Hammers’ goal, but the goal was canceled after watching VAR. West Ham midfielder Said Benrahma opened the scoring in the 27th minute, converting a penalty. Arsenal managed to turn the tide of the meeting in the second half: Saka equalized in the 53rd minute, Gabriel Martinelli led the hosts five minutes later, and in the 69th minute Eddy Nketia scored the Gunners’ third goal.
The result – 3: 1 – the victory of Arsenal. Mikel Arteta’s team scored 40 points and strengthened their leadership in the Premier League. Arsenal are seven points ahead of Newcastle and Manchester City by eight. West Ham have 14 points and are in 16th position.
