Barcelona beat Real Mallorca in style
Barcelona beat Real Mallorca 3-0 at Son Moix Stadium on Saturday, starting their La Liga title defense with a confident display. The goals came from Raphinha, Ferran Torres, and young star Lamine Yamal, who lit up the evening with his attacking flair.
Early breakthrough from Raphinha
Barcelona took control from the very first minutes. Lamine Yamal caused constant trouble for the Mallorca defense down the right flank, and his dangerous dribbles nearly broke the deadlock. In the 7th minute, Yamal delivered a pinpoint cross that found Raphinha, who calmly headed home to give Barcelona the lead.
Ferran Torres doubles the lead
Barcelona kept pushing forward, and their pressure paid off again in the 23rd minute. After Yamalโs shot was deflected by the defense, the ball fell to Ferran Torres, who slotted it into the net to double the advantage, despite protests from Mallorca players.
Mallorca reduced to nine men
The hostsโ night got worse when Mido Morlanes was sent off after receiving a second yellow card in the 33rd minute. Just minutes later, striker Vedat Muriqi also saw red for a reckless challenge on goalkeeper Juan Garcia. With two dismissals, Real Mallorca were forced to play with nine men, leaving Barcelona in complete control.
Yamal seals the win with a stunner
Barcelona created chance after chance, with Ferran Torres missing narrowly and shots from Raphinha and Dani Olmo striking the woodwork. Goalkeeper Leonardo Romano also denied Pedri with a brilliant save. But in stoppage time, Yamal crowned his performance with a spectacular goal, firing a powerful left-footed strike into the top corner to seal Barcelonaโs 3-0 win.
