Barcelona defeats Sevilla 4-1 in a thrilling La Liga encounter at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium. This dominant performance allows the Catalan giants to close the gap to just two points behind league leaders Real Madrid. Barcelona’s goals came from Robert Lewandowski, Fermin Lopez, Raphinha, and Eric Garcia, while Sevilla’s Ruben Vargas scored their lone goal.

Barcelona’s Strong Start:

The match began with Barcelona putting pressure on Sevilla from the outset. Just minutes into the game, Lamine Yamal nearly found the net with a powerful shot inside the box, but goalkeeper Nyland made a crucial save.

The second half started with a tactical change for Barcelona, as coach Hans Flick brought on Fermin Lopez for Gavi. Fermin made an immediate impact, scoring the second goal in the 46th minute with a well-timed shot after receiving a deep pass from Pedri.

Seconds after the goal, Sevilla thought they had scored again, but Vargas’ effort was ruled offside.

As the game progressed, Barcelona tightened its grip. In the 55th minute, Raphinha scored a stunning third goal, receiving a pass from Coparsi and unleashing a rocket into the net.

However, things took a sour turn for Barcelona when Fermin Lopez received a red card in the 61st minute. After a video review, the referee upgraded his initial yellow card to a straight red for a tackle on Sevilla’s Sou.

Despite being reduced to 10 men, Barcelona continued to dominate, and in the 89th minute, Eric Garcia sealed the win by heading in a free-kick to make it 4-1.
