Bayern Munich compounded Paris Saint-Germain’s European struggles with a narrow 1-0 victory on Tuesday evening at the Allianz Arena, in the fifth round of the Champions League group stage.
The decisive moment of the match came in the 38th minute when Min Jae Kim found the back of the net, securing Bayern’s victory.
This result pushed Bayern up to 9 points, placing them in 11th position, while PSG stayed on 4 points, slipping to 26th in the standings.
Bayern Munich began the match with intensity, creating their first clear chance in the 7th minute. Joshua Kimmich delivered a perfectly timed through ball to an unmarked Jamal Musiala in the box, whose powerful shot was brilliantly saved by goalkeeper Safonov.
The hosts threatened again in the 12th minute when Leroy Sané latched onto a pass from Konrad Laimer on the right side of the penalty area, firing a low shot that Safonov once more managed to block.
