Harry Kane guided Bayern Munich to a significant victory against their visitors Augsburg, with a score of 3-0, on Friday evening at the Allianz Arena during the 11th round of the Bundesliga.
Kane completed a stunning hat-trick, scoring in the 63rd, 93rd, and 95th minutes, to propel Bayern Munich to a 3-0 victory and extend their lead at the top of the table with 29 points. Meanwhile, Augsburg remained on 12 points, sitting in 13th place.
Bayern’s first chance came in the 12th minute, with Goretzka unleashing a shot from outside the penalty area that narrowly missed the post.
Bayern continued their pressure in the 18th minute, with Musiala setting up Kimmich inside the box. Kimmich’s shot, however, flew over the crossbar. Musiala then tried his luck in the 22nd minute, meeting a cross from the left with a header that narrowly missed the post.
Coman followed in the 24th minute, sending a curling shot from the edge of the box, which was comfortably caught by Augsburg goalkeeper Labrovic.
Augsburg had their first real threat on Bayern’s goal in the 25th minute. Giannoulis sent a cross from the left, which Morris met with a weak header that Neuer easily collected.
Bayern continued to push forward, with Kane testing Labrovic in the 26th minute with a low shot from inside the six-yard box, which the goalkeeper saved. Labrovic was called into action again in the 27th minute, diving to stop a curling effort from Musiala inside the box.
Musiala remained persistent, firing a powerful shot from inside the area in the 33rd minute, but Labrovic was again equal to the task, saving it.
Bayern then looked to set pieces, with Oliseh taking a free kick just outside the area in the 41st minute. His direct shot sailed over the crossbar.
In the 45+3 minute, Goretzka fired a powerful shot from the edge of the area, which Labrovic brilliantly deflected out for a corner, sending the first half into a goalless draw.
Bayern came out strong in the second half. In the 48th minute, Guerreiro and Musiala exchanged passes, with Musiala heading the ball towards goal, but Labrovic was there to make the save.
Goretzka came close in the 50th minute, connecting with a cross from Davies and heading the ball onto the crossbar.
The pressure from Bayern kept coming. In the 51st minute, Oliseh unleashed a powerful shot from the edge of the area, which Labrovic managed to save. Guerrero then followed with a curling shot from the same distance in the 57th minute, which just missed the post.
In the 62nd minute, Bayern were awarded a penalty after substitute Pedersen was penalized for handball, following a VAR review. Kane stepped up and coolly converted the penalty with a shot to the left of the goalkeeper.
Musiala tested Labrovic again in the 83rd minute with a powerful strike from the edge of the area, but the goalkeeper made a strong save.
Bayern were awarded another penalty in the 92nd minute when Schlotterbeck fouled Kane in the box, with the referee consulting VAR and subsequently sending off the defender. Kane took the penalty once again, placing it low to the right of the goalkeeper to make it 2-0.
Kane completed his hat-trick in the 95th minute, receiving a perfectly timed cross from Muller in the penalty area. The goalkeeper slipped after Kane’s reception, allowing him to calmly slot the ball into the empty net.
