Bayern Munich sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic revealed the reasons that prompted his Bavarian club not to sign Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo.
The future of Ronaldo, aged 37, is still ambiguous at Old Trafford, given his desire to leave Manuel after only one season on his return.
Hamidzic spoke in an interview with Sport Bild newspaper, about signing Ronaldo, saying, “It is difficult from a sporting and financial point of view.”
Hamidic pointed to the success of his club in bringing in high-quality players of ideal ages, as well as the presence of young talents that the Bavarian seeks to give them the opportunity to appear with the first team.
“We all voted that we should go ahead with our plan, so the deal was out of the question for us. We are happy with what we have.”
