Benfica beat Club Brugge 5-1 to advance to the quarter-finals of the Champions League

The match between Benfica and Brugge in the 1/8 Champions League finals has come to an end. The Da Luz stadium in Lisbon hosted the match. 5-1, Benfica won.

Rafa Silva scored the game’s first goal in the 38th minute. Goncalo Ramos doubled the hosts’ advantage in the second added minute of the first half, and in the 57th minute, he scored a devastating goal. Benfica’s fourth goal was scored by Joo Mario in the 71st minute, and Brugge’s fifth goal was scored by David Neres in the 77th. Brugge scored a “goal of prestige” in the 87th minute thanks to Bjorn Meyer’s efforts.

The two-coordinate showdown of the groups finished with the triumph of Benfica with an all-out score of 7:1 and the section of the Portuguese to the following round of the opposition. The opponent for Benfica will be identified later.
