Manchester City midfielder Bernardo Silva has ended the controversy surrounding his move to Barcelona during the current summer Mercato.
Several reports claimed that Barcelona intends to sell Dutch player Frenkie de Jong, and invest his money in the Bernardo Silva deal.
“I will stay in Manchester City… I have not received any offers,” Silva said in a statement highlighted by Fabrizio Romano, an expert on transfers of players and coaches in Europe, on his Twitter account.
The Portuguese star added: “I am continuing at Manchester City … I am happy here and the decision has been made.”
It is noteworthy that the summer Mercato in Spain and England ends tomorrow, Thursday.
