Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz and Norwegian Kasper Ruud will compete for the title of the first racket in the world in the US Open final. The winner of the tournament will be the leader.
This will be the first Grand Slam tournament in history, where in the final the participants will fight not only for the title but also for the first line of the world classification.
The new first racket in the world will appear on the Tour for the first time since February this year. Prior to this, the leadership was held by the Russian Daniil Medvedev, who was unable to defend last year’s title at the US Open.
