The striker, Edinson Cavani, said upon his arrival at Valencia airport to sign for the “bat” club for two seasons in the coming hours, that the club had given him a lot of confidence and would seek to give everything on his part.
After more than two weeks of negotiations, the Uruguayan striker reached an agreement with the Spanish club, after his contract with his Manchester United team expired, and he became free.
He told the media waiting for him at the airport, “We will see what happens in the coming hours and I am happy to come here. It was an important decision for me because Valencia trusted me very much and I will try to give him everything I have to leave a good image in the club and about me.”
“I would have liked to go back to Spain and play here and Valencia bet on me. I have said before that I will go to the place where I will find love because I live on that, on the strength of the people, the love of the club, I am coming with a lot of enthusiasm.”
He concluded: “I have been away from the press in the past period because I had to take an important decision for me.”
