Chelsea and Arsenal played out a tense 1-1 draw at Stamford Bridge on Sunday, a result that leaves both London clubs level on points in the Premier League but still nine points behind leaders Liverpool.
Gabriel Martinelli gave the visitors the lead in the 60th minute, converting a perfectly lifted ball from captain Martin Ødegaard, whose return from injury proved pivotal after Arsenal had failed to score in their previous two matches.
Chelsea responded 10 minutes later when substitute Enzo Fernandez fed the ball to the ever-dangerous Pedro Neto just outside the Arsenal box. Neto took a touch to sidestep his defender and fired a low shot past David Raya to equalize.
The draw lifted Chelsea into third place, while Arsenal remained in fourth, with both teams on 19 points.
