Chelsea is reportedly considering hiring his former coach to oversee the team starting next season, according to press reports from Thursday evening.
After announcing Frank Lampard’s appointment as Blues coach until the end of the current season, Chelsea is now looking for a new coach to lead the team beginning with the new season.
As per ” The Sun ” paper, Chelsea is concentrating on the chance of contracting with its previous mentor, Antonio Conte.
After attacking the players and board of Tottenham following a 3-3 draw with Southampton, Conte left the team last month.
Additionally, “The Sun” stated that initial contacts were established between the parties via intermediaries, which were successful, and that a meeting may take place the following week.
Italian Conte was the last Chelsea mentor to bring home the Head Association championship in the 2016-2017 season.
According to the report, Chelsea owners Behdad Egali and Todd Bohle believe that Conte is capable of “putting a new structure” on the team.
