Chelsea are set to formalize a loan deal for Atlético Madrid striker Joao Felix, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano.
It is expected that the parties will sign all the necessary documents within one or two days. Earlier it was reported that Chelsea would pay 11 million euros for the loan and would pay the salary of the 23-year-old Portuguese in full, while Madrid refused to include a buyout option in the deal.
Felix joined Atlético Madrid from Benfica in July 2019 for €127.2 million. In the 2022/23 season, he scored 5 goals and made 3 assists in 20 matches for the team.
Portal Transfermarkt.com estimates the striker at 50 million euros.
