Cristiano Ronaldo will be included in Manchester United’s squad for the Europa League match against Sheriff.
This was announced by the head coach of the English club Eric ten Hag during today’s press conference.
Ten Hag also said that defender Rafael Varane will not play for Manchester United until the 2022 World Cup due to an injury sustained in the game of the last round of the Premier League against Chelsea (1: 1).
Recall that Ronaldo was suspended from training with Manchester United after the match against Tottenham Hotspur (2:0). This decision was made by ten Hag in connection with the refusal of the Portuguese to come on as a substitute at the end of the game. Ronaldo went to the under-tribune room and left Old Trafford before the final whistle. After that, Cristiano was not included in the application for the match with Chelsea.
The 37-year-old striker returned to training with United yesterday.
Manchester United will play Sheriff at home tomorrow, October 27. The match will start at 19.00 GMT.
