Russian tennis player Daniil Medvedev will lose first place in the ATP rankings and fall to fourth place after the end of the US Open.
On Monday, Medvedev lost to Australian Kiryos in the fourth round match of the US Open.
The Russian will have 5065 points. He was already nominally beaten by the Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz (5100) and the Norwegian Kasper Ruud (5370), who continued to fight in the tournament and became the first semi-finalist.
Rafael Nadal, who has already completed his performance in the USA, also claims first place in the ranking (5810 points). The Spaniard could keep the lead if Alcaraz and Ruud don’t reach the final.
