Everton announced, on Thursday evening, the return of Senegalese midfielder, Idrissa Gaye, from Paris Saint-Germain, to which he moved in 2019.

Everton stated, through his official account on “Twitter”, that Jay will return to the team, with a contract that extends until the summer of 2024, without revealing the value of his transfer.

But the British newspaper “The Sun” confirmed that Saint-Germain received 8 million pounds under this deal.

The Senegalese international spent 3 years with Everton, where he played 108 matches and created a prestigious reputation for himself, which paved the way for his move to Saint-Germain.

Jay became Everton’s seventh deal during the current summer transfer window, after James Tarkowski, Robin Wenger, Conor Cody, Amadou Onana, Dwight McNeil, and Neil Maupai.
