Today, December 1, the match of the 3rd round of the group stage of the World Cup took place, in which the German national team played with Costa Rica. The teams met at the El Bayt Stadium in El Howrah.
The German players quickly took the lead in this match, when Serge Gnabry scored from the transfer of David Raum in the 10th minute. For a long time, the Bundesteam led the score, but in the 58th minute Costa Rica equalized – Yeltsin Tejeda scored a goal. In the 70th minute, the Costa Ricans took the lead thanks to the efforts of Juan Vargas. Three minutes later, Kai Havertz made the score a draw, assisted by Niklas Füllkrug. In the 85th minute, Kai Havertz put Germany ahead after a cross from Serge Gnabry. In the 90+1st minute, Niklas Füllkrug strengthened the lead of the German team after a pass from Leroy Zane.
The match ended with a score of 4:2 in favor of the German team. But, despite the victory, the German national team left the tournament, as in a parallel meeting, Japan beat Spain with a score of 2: 1.
