Guardiola: Before Haaland came in, Manchester City didn’t score too many penalties

Date:

Manchester City head coach Josep Guardiola is pleased with Erling Haaland’s penalty kick performance.

The Norwegian scored a brace in Saturday’s Premier League clash against Brighton (3-1). The second goal of the 22-year-old striker was scored from the penalty spot.

“Erling took a great penalty against Brighton,” Guardiola recalled. “For all the time that I have been working at Manchester City, we have not implemented 24 hits from the point – this is too much,” journalist Jack Gagan quotes the words of the Spanish mentor.

Erling Haaland has scored 17 goals in 11 Premier League matches, two of them from penalties.
