Manchester City coach Pep Guardiola commented on the controversial goal scored by Bruno Fernandez, in United’s victory over his team (2-1) today, Saturday, in the 20th round of the English Premier League.

Fernandez scored the equalizer after Rashford received a pass from Casemiro and was in an offside position, leaving the ball to the Portuguese, who scored the ball into the net.

Guardiola said, in statements after the match to BT Sport: “The match was good. We played well. They are very special in the transitions. Congratulations to the team. I am proud to come here and play with that character, but they punished us in the transitions.”

He commented on Manchester United’s equalizer: “Rashford distracted the goalkeeper and the defender.”

He concluded: “We missed some chances up front, but in general we played a great match. I don’t care what happened in the Premier League and the Carabao Cup. We won a lot, there is no problem.”
