Manchester City forward and leading scorer, Erling Haaland, has lauded his coach, Pep Guardiola, declaring him the best manager in the world.
Manchester City has also extended Guardiola’s contract by two more years, ensuring his stay with the club until 2027. This will mark over a decade of his tenure with the team.
“Guardiola is the best coach in the world, maybe even the best on earth,” Haaland told Sky Sports. “I have high expectations of him. He gives his all every single moment. I’m very happy.”
Haaland has been a standout player for Manchester City under Guardiola, playing a pivotal role in their historic treble victory in 2023.
The Norwegian striker is also the Premier League’s top scorer this season, with 12 goals, four ahead of his nearest rivals: Chris Wood (Nottingham Forest), Bryan Mbeumo (Brentford), and Mohamed Salah (Liverpool), who each have 8 goals.
