Manchester City striker Erling Haaland admitted his embarrassment when Bayern Munich officials entered into negotiations with him before his departure from Borussia Dortmund at the end of last season.

The 22-year-old left the Signal Iduna Park this summer for Manchester City for 60 million euros, the value of the penalty clause in his contract with Dortmund.

During his appearance in a documentary video with the “Viaplay” application, Haaland said, “I felt sorry for Robert Lewandowski, and I find that their negotiations with me in his presence are a lack of respect for him.”

The Norwegian international referred to the successes achieved by the 34-year-old in the Bavarian shirt before his departure to Barcelona.

“I don’t know how many goals he (Lewandowski) scored there and the titles he won,” Haaland said.

Halland revealed the scenes of choosing his new club before going to Manchester City, where he said, “I was thinking, does the potential club have a strong striker?”
