Achraf Hakimi, right-back of Paris Saint-Germain, revealed the reasons for his team’s first stumble this season, with a 1-1 draw against Monaco, in the fourth round of the French League.
Hakimi said on his club’s channel “PSG TV”: “The result is disappointing, unfortunately, we did not take advantage of the opportunities, but we are happy with our performance because we created a lot of chances.”
He added: “The Monaco goalkeeper also saved a number of attempts… We are on the right path, little by little, and we will achieve more in the future.”
And he concluded: “A difficult period awaits us with a tight schedule of matches, so we have to be ready, technically, physically, and mentally, to face Toulouse, next Wednesday in the league, as it is an important match that we strive to win.”
Saint-Germain raised its score to 10 points, to share the lead with Olympique Marseille and Lens, while Monaco is in 12th place with 5 points, equal with Nantes and Toulouse.
