Carlo Ancelotti, Real Madrid’s head coach, made the quick decision to leave out the team’s star player a few hours before the semi-final match against Al-Ahly in the Club World Cup.
The newspaper “Marca” reports that Ancelotti has ruled out his player Marco Asensio following his injury in training on Tuesday.
She said that Marco Asensio bandaged his injured area during the previous session because he was having muscle pain.
According to the newspaper, Ancelotti made the cautious decision to exclude Asensio from today’s match against Al-Ahly out of fear of worsening the injury after consulting with doctors and Asensio himself.
It is noteworthy that Marco Asensio, Vinicius Junior, and Rodrigo Joyce were all candidates for starting positions in coach Carlo Ancelotti’s squad for today’s match.
Six prominent players were absent from Real Madrid’s trip to Morocco: Karim Benzema, Eder Militao, Thibaut Courtois, Ferland Mendy, Eden Hazard, and Lucas Vazquez.
