Barcelona suffered a 1-0 defeat to visiting Leganés on Sunday evening at the Luis Companys Stadium in the 17th round of La Liga.
Sergio Gonzalez netted the only goal of the match in the fourth minute.
As a result of this defeat, Barcelona’s points remain at 38, keeping them at the top of La Liga, while Leganés increased their total to 18 points, moving up to 15th place.
This marks Barcelona’s fourth defeat in La Liga, following previous losses to Osasuna, Real Sociedad, and Las Palmas.
The match kicked off with an early goal for Leganés, coming from a corner kick taken by Oscar Rodriguez on the right. The ball found Sergio Gonzalez inside the area, who rose to score with a shot to the far left of goalkeeper Iñaki Peña in the fourth minute.
Barcelona quickly responded with a shot from Robert Lewandowski inside the area, but Leganés’ goalkeeper Dmitrovic made a great save in the 10th minute.
In the 19th minute, Jules Kounde delivered a cross from the right into the area, but Dani Olmo failed to make contact with it.
Dmitrovic was again called into action in the 34th minute, as he saved a close-range shot from Lewandowski.
Just before halftime, Lamine Yamal attempted a shot from outside the penalty area, but it went wide in the 40th minute.
The second half began with Lamine Yamal delivering a cross from the right to Robert Lewandowski, who headed the ball just wide of the left post in the 49th minute.

In the 60th minute, Rafinha appealed for a penalty after a heavy tackle from Leganés’ Hernandez inside the area, but the referee waved play on.
Fermin Lopez suffered a broken tooth in the 79th minute but continued playing despite the injury.
In stoppage time, Barcelona were awarded a direct free kick, which Rafinha took, but his shot sailed over the crossbar, sealing a disappointing loss for Barça.
