The match of the 18th round of the English Premier League, in which Liverpool hosted Leicester, has ended.
The teams played at Anfield Stadium. The final whistle of the chief referee Craig Pawson fixed the victory of the hosts with a score of 2:1.
The hosts started the match unsuccessfully: already in the fourth minute, Dewsbury Hall hit the gate of Alison Becker after the transfer of Patson Ducky. The Reds managed to turn the tide of the meeting at the end of the first half – in the 38th minute, the Foxes defender Wout Fas sent the ball into his own net, and in the 45th he did it again, scoring two own goals in seven minutes.
Liverpool have taken 28 points to move up to sixth in the table, closing the gap to fifth-placed Manchester United to one point. Brendan Rodgers’ team has 17 points and 13th position.
