Manchester United overcame its guest Liverpool by beating them 2-1 on Monday evening, at the end of the third round of the English Premier League.
United ended the first half with a goal scored by Jadon Sancho, and Marcus Rashford added the second goal in the second half, then Mohamed Salah reduced the result by scoring Liverpool’s only goal 9 minutes before the end of the original time.
According to the “Squawka” network, this is the first loss that Liverpool has received in the English Premier League in 2022, after avoiding defeat in 21 matches in a row.
The network added that only two coaches managed to win their first match against Liverpool with Manchester United, since Sir Alex Ferguson’s retirement, they are coach Eric Ten Hag and his compatriot Louis van Gaal.
And “Squawka” added, “Manchester United kept its record of defeats when it finished the first half ahead of its home in the English Premier League, with 281 victories and 23 draws in 304 matches.”
This is the first victory for Manchester United after two consecutive losses, to raise his score to 3 points, and leave the last place heading to the fourteenth place, a point ahead of Liverpool, who is in the sixteenth place.
