Marcelo joins Brazil’s Fluminense

According to the team’s official website, Marcelo, a former Real Madrid player, has joined the Brazilian Fluminense team, where he was a student.

Marcelo, 34, has been playing for Greek Olympiacos since the summer of 2022, where he has scored three goals in ten official matches. The Brazilian player left the team in February.

Marcelo has agreed to a contract with Fluminense that will run through December 2024 and has the option to be extended for an additional year.

Since joining Real Madrid in 2007, Marcelo has won a club record 25 trophies. The defensive player went on to win the Champions League five times, four club world championships, and three European Super Cups. He also won the Spanish Super Cup five times, the Spanish Cup twice, and the Spanish Championship six times. He has scored six goals and 58 caps for Brazil.
