Lionel Messi, the star of Paris Saint-Germain, made a precious promise to himself to manage his French club.
And the newspaper “L’Equipe” reported that the owners of Paris were pleased with Messi’s admission that his first season was not good, and that he would not want to leave the team before he achieved a major title.
She added that talks are underway to extend Messi’s contract, but the Argentine star is in no hurry to make a decision before the World Cup.
She indicated that Luis Campos, the sports advisor to Paris, is eager to persuade Messi to renew his contract before the World Cup.
She noted that Messi has begun to integrate better with his colleagues in Saint-Germain, and Messi’s performance has improved in speaking French, and even communicating with his children at home.
She added that Messi enjoys a strong relationship with the sports advisor, as well as Christoph Galtier, the team’s coach, and has adapted to the atmosphere after the departure of his compatriots Di Maria and Leandro Paredes.
Messi has scored 12 goals in addition to providing 13 assists in all competitions since the start of the current season, to score a better rate than he achieved over the course of last season.
Messi’s contract with PSG expires at the end of the current season, with the possibility of extending it for an additional season, subject to the Argentine star’s approval.
