Milan gained ground on Inter in the standings after defeating Atalanta

In the match of the 24th round of the Italian championship, Milan defeated Atalanta on their own turf.

The meeting in Milan came to a close with a score of 2:1. Juan Musso, Bergamo’s goalkeeper, had an own goal in the 26th minute, and Milan forward Junior Messias had another goal in the 86th minute. Zlatan Ibrahimovic, a striker for the Rossoneri, made his first appearance on the field in nine months, making an appearance as a substitute in the 74th minute.

Ibrahimovic has been recovering from surgery on his left knee since the end of May 2022. The 41-year-old Swede previously stated that he could not sleep due to pain while playing for six months without a cruciate ligament in his knee. The striker signed a new contract with AC Milan in July, which will keep him there through the 2022/23 season.
