Fenerbahce manager Jose Mourinho has addressed his former rival, Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola, with a response to the comments made by the latter.
Mourinho told the Daily Mail: “A few days ago, Pep Guardiola mentioned that he has won six Premier League titles, while I have only three.”
The Portuguese coach continued: “But I earned my titles fairly. I wouldn’t want to win if it meant having 150 lawsuits. If I lose, I’ll congratulate my opponent,” seemingly referring to the ongoing accusations against Manchester City in England for violating financial regulations.
Mourinho secured the Premier League title three times with Chelsea, in 2005, 2006, and 2015.
In response, Guardiola sought to defend himself, highlighting his six Premier League titles, after Manchester City’s 2-0 loss to Liverpool in the league.
