Spanish tennis player Rafael Nadal after losing in the fourth round of the US Open to American Francis Tiafoe ( 4:6, 6:4, 4:6, 3:6) published a post on social networks.

“It is always sad to leave this wonderful stadium. But… Francis played better. Congratulations! Thank you New York again for everything. See you next year!” Nadal wrote.

The meeting lasted 3 hours and 32 minutes. The 36-year-old Spaniard has 9 innings, 9 double faults and 2 break points out of 6. The 24-year-old American has 18 aces and 4 errors on the second serve, as well as 5 break points out of 8.

In the quarterfinals, Tiafoe will face Russian Andrey Rublev.
