Barcelona announced the completion of the departure of its Gabonese striker, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, to Chelsea, as the last to leave the Blaugrana in the summer transfer market.

“Barcelona and Chelsea have reached an agreement to transfer the player Aubameyang for 12 million euros,” Barcelona said in an official statement.

“FC Barcelona expresses its gratitude to Aubameyang for the professionalism, commitment, dedication, and positive treatment he has always shown to everyone,” the statement added.

“We wish the Gabonese star success in the future and thank you for your smile that brought joy on and off the field. Barcelona will always be your home,” Barca stressed.

Aubameyang joined Barcelona last February in a free transfer deal after terminating his contract with Arsenal, and participated in 24 matches in the Blaugrana shirt and scored 13 goals.
