Officially: Russia is excluded from Euro 2024

Date:

The European Football Association decided to exclude Russia from the European Championship (Euro) 2024.

The decision came after Russian teams were banned from all UEFA competitions during the 2022/23 season due to the conflict in Ukraine.

The Russian Federation said in an official statement: “Our national team will not participate in the draw for the Euro 2024 qualifiers, which will be held on October 9 in Frankfurt.”

The Russian Federation indicated that it had appealed the decision to ban the Russian teams, but lost its first appeal in the Sports Court.

The Russian Federation indicated that it is currently waiting for the full text of the decision of the Court of Sports, and after studying it, a decision will be taken on further steps in the legal framework.
