Juventus officially confirmed on Friday the termination of Paul Pogba’s contract, effectively releasing the French midfielder to join any club of his choice.
In its statement, the Italian club clarified that it had reached an agreement with Pogba to end his contract by November 30, 2024. Juve added: “The club wishes Paul the best of luck in his professional future.”
Pogba is set to be eligible to return to the field by next March, following a reduction of his suspension from four years to 18 months. The French international successfully contested the ban imposed for a doping test failure, and his suspension will officially conclude in four months. After rejoining Turin in the summer of 2022, Pogba faced persistent injuries prior to the doping incident, resulting in only 12 appearances for the team across various competitions during his second stint.
It is noteworthy that press reports in the past hours indicated that Pogba intends to move to another club participating in the 2025 Club World Cup.
