Osasuna advanced to third place in the Spanish Football League standings, by beating its host Almeria 1-0 on Monday in the fifth stage.
Osasuna owes this victory to Argentine striker Ezequiel Avila, who scored the decisive goal in the 28th minute.
The win raised Osasuna’s tally to 12 points to split the third place with Real Betis, and it’s one point behind Barcelona, runners-up, and 3 points behind leaders Real Madrid.
On the other hand, Almeria’s balance stopped at 4 points in fourteenth place.
