Premier League clubs spent more than £2.1bn (approximately €2.4bn) in the summer transfer window, setting a new record, according to Sky Sports.
The previous record was set in 2017 at £1.6bn (€1.87bn).
The biggest deal was the acquisition of Brazilian striker Antoni by Manchester United. They paid Ajax approximately 95 million euros.
Six Premier League clubs, from champions Manchester City to sixth-finishing Manchester United, have surpassed the €115m mark.
Chelsea spent over €325m on transfers, United over €265m. Just before the transfer window closed, Chelsea signed a contract with Barcelona forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
Manchester City acquired Norwegian striker Erling Haaland from Borussia Dortmund in July for around €60 million.
Liverpool bought striker Darwin Nunez from Benfica in July for €75m, while Arsenal bought striker Gabriel Jesus for €52.2m, formerly of City.
Tottenham Hotspur sign Richarlison for €58m.
