Real Madrid beat Valencia on penalties to reach Spanish Super Cup final

On the night of January 12, Real Madrid defeated Valencia (1:1, pen. 4:3) in a penalty shootout in the 1/2 final match of the Spanish Super Cup 2023. The meeting was held in Riyadh (Saudi Arabia).

As part of the Madrid team, forward Karim Benzema scored a goal (39th minute, penalty). Midfielder Samuel Diaz Lino scored in the 46th minute of the match.

Extra time passed without goals. In the penalty shootout, Madrid were more accurate – 4:3.

In the final of the Super Cup, Real Madrid will play with the winner of the Barcelona-Betis pair. They will play their match of the 1/2 finals of the tournament on January 12th.

Real Madrid have won the 2022 Spanish Super Cup. Then in the final, they won against “Athletics” from Bilbao with a score of 2:0.
