Real Madrid has provided details on the injury sustained by Brazilian forward Rodrygo Goes.
Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti had initially included Rodrygo in the squad for yesterday’s match against Girona, but the club unexpectedly announced his exclusion this morning.
According to the Spanish outlet “Relevo,” Rodrygo is experiencing “muscle pain in his left leg.” However, Real Madrid has not clarified whether this injury is a recurrence of the previous issue with his anterior rectus muscle, which the Brazilian star had suffered weeks ago.
The Spanish network reported that Rodrygo is expected to be sidelined for a period of two to four matches.
It was confirmed that Rodrygo will miss today’s match against Girona in La Liga, as well as the Champions League clash with Atalanta next Tuesday.
Currently, Real Madrid holds second place in the La Liga standings with 33 points, four points behind leaders Barcelona, who have 37.
