Spanish media reports revealed today, Saturday, that Real Madrid is closely monitoring one of Sevilla’s players during their upcoming clash on Sunday in the 18th round of La Liga.
For months, reports have suggested that Real Madrid has been keeping a close eye on Sevilla star Juanlu Sánchez, who represented the Spanish national team during the recent Olympic Games in Paris.
According to the Spanish newspaper AS, Juanlu remains a key target for Real Madrid as they look to strengthen the right-back position. Club officials are set to evaluate his performance once again during the upcoming match at the Santiago Bernabéu.
The report highlighted that Juanlu Sánchez is poised to take the next step in his career, particularly given the significant progress he has shown since the start of this season. He demonstrated his growing potential by scoring a goal against Las Palmas in the league opener and netting another at the Metropolitano Stadium recently, despite Sevilla’s eventual 1-3 defeat to Atletico Madrid.
In addition to his league performances, Juanlu has also shined in the Spanish King’s Cup, where he scored one goal and provided an assist for Sevilla this season.
