Portuguese football legend Cristiano Ronaldo, has shared a message with his fellow countryman Ruben Amorim, who has recently been appointed as the new head coach of Manchester United.
According to the British newspaper Daily Mail, Cristiano Ronaldo expressed his full support for Ruben Amorim in his new role as Manchester United’s head coach. After scoring a stunning goal in Portugal’s 5-1 victory over Poland in the European Nations League, Ronaldo said, “I wish Manchester United and Ruben Amorim the best of luck in the world.”
Amorim, 39, officially began his tenure as Manchester United’s new technical director this week. He gave his first interview to the club’s official website on Friday, following his move from Sporting Lisbon.
Ronaldo and Amorim share the same age and possess numerous similarities; both were players for Sporting Lisbon prior to their transfers to Manchester United. Currently, Ronaldo is pursuing his playing career with the Saudi club Al Nassr, whereas Amorim transitioned from playing to coaching in 2017, where he has attained significant success.
