Paris Saint-Germain issued an official statement to comment on the leak of the contract of its French star, Kylian Mbappe.
“Following the sensational article published yesterday about the club and one of its players, we deny this story and the alleged details,” Saint-Germain said in its statement.
“The club denies this story because it came a few hours before an important Champions League match, but the club will not be tempted to make further comments.”
And he added, “Everyone at the club is positively focused on the next Champions League match, which will be played tomorrow.”
And the newspaper “Le Parisien” reported, yesterday, Sunday, that Mbappe signed a contract that extends until the summer of 2025, which is the most expensive in the history of any athlete, as he will earn 630 million euros.
The newspaper pointed out that “the contract actually extends for two seasons, with the option to extend for a third season, provided that Mbappe agrees.”
She pointed out that the contract did not include any clause related to individual titles or awards, such as the European Champions League and the Golden Ball.
And she indicated that “Kylian Mbappe’s monthly salary has tripled, to reach 6 million euros (2.7 million euros exclusive of taxes).”
The French striker will also receive a signing bonus of 180 million euros, in 3 installments due by next July, with Mbappe receiving the full amount “in the event of his departure before the end of the contract.”
According to the newspaper, “Saint-Germain also allocated a loyalty bonus to the French international, worth 70 million euros, which he will receive in the summer of next year if he continues with the team, and will increase by 10 million euros for each season he spends with PSG.”
And “Le Parisien” concluded its report, “Mbappe will receive 45% of the total money, after deducting taxes,” stressing that his contract represents a quarter of the Paris club’s budget.
